The 'Vision For You' Online Group of Alcoholics Anonymous Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. Welcome to our group website. We run a weekly online AA meeting. Our meeting is 'open' and can be attended by any AA member, by anyone who thinks they might might have a drink problem, by friends and relatives of those with a drink problem, by interested observers such as members of the medical profession, ministers of religion from any faith or denomination, and others. (UK Time = GMT in winter, BST in summer) Our meeting is a 'live' chatroom meeting and you will see what others 'say' as soon as they type it. We follow a protocol during the meeting which ensures that meetings run smoothly and in a civilised way. Our meetings are held in the chatrooms of AA Online (UK). The chatrooms may be used at other times by other groups. At times when meetings are not taking place the chatroom is used for 'open' chat. Newcomers will find open chat sessions very helpful as they can ask questions and talk things over.
