Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

If you have questions or comments about the website, you are more than welcome to email me. Due to the massive amounts of email I get on a daily basis, I ask writers to consider the following before writing:

I'm not a doctor, nurse, lawyer, psychologist, psychiatrist, priest, therapist, ombudsman, philanthropist, psychic, fortune-teller, marriage guidance counsellor, or agony column writer. I'm just a computer geek who happens to be an alcoholic too. It is absolutely impossible for me to answer any kind of legal or medical questions.
I do not give interviews or answer surveys. This is the purpose of our chat room and forums.
I can only answer questions that directly relate to the technical and administrative aspects of this web site, including the chat room, forums, and free email/website/mailing list services.
